GROUP GERMAN LESSONS
Group German Lessons Online
Learn Together, Progress Together
Group German lessons online give you structured, goal-oriented learning — shared with people who are on the same path. You learn together, practise together, and keep each other motivated.
I have been teaching German online since 2010. Group lessons at TutorTaxi are adapted to the group's level and goals — not built around a one-size-fits-all syllabus. Every group gets exactly what it needs.
Lessons take place via Google Meet. We start with a free trial session to define the format, goals, and structure — no commitment, no obligation.
What are group German lessons?
Group German lessons are structured sessions where two or more participants learn together. Every lesson is planned around the group's shared level and goals — and adapted as the group progresses.
Group learning has real advantages. You speak more often, you react to what others say, and you stay accountable. A good group creates momentum that individual study rarely does.

Who are these lessons for?
Group German lessons suit a wide range of learners — from expats and professionals to exam candidates and self-motivated learners at any level.
Friends & Couples
Friends learning together
You and a friend, partner, or family member want to learn German at the same time — and save on cost while doing it. A shared lesson is a practical and enjoyable way to make steady progress together.
Colleagues & Teams
Colleagues or teams
Your team needs German for work — for communication with clients, partners, or within a multilingual organisation. Group lessons for colleagues are structured around the professional context you actually work in.
Learner Groups
Students at the same level
You already know other motivated German learners at roughly the same level and want to structure your learning around regular, guided group sessions.
Exam Prep
Exam candidates preparing together
You are preparing for a telc, Goethe, fide, or TestDaF exam - and so is someone else. Preparing together with structured guidance and targeted practice is an effective and motivating approach.
What you can learn
Group German lessons are available for all levels from A1 to C2. The focus is defined together during the trial lesson — based on the group's shared level, goals, and what matters most to each participant.
A1 – A2
Beginner
First steps — pronunciation, core grammar, and everyday vocabulary. Ideal for groups starting from scratch together.
B1 – B2
Intermediate
Building fluency, expanding grammar, and communicating across a wider range of situations.
C1 – C2
Advanced
Refining accuracy, nuanced expression, and complex professional communication.
Skills you will develop
In group lessons, you work on all core language skills. The balance depends on the group's shared goals.
Speaking
group discussions, structured conversation practice, and real-time feedback
Listening
understanding your teacher, your fellow participants, and authentic German
Reading
texts, emails, and structured content discussed as a group
Writing
written tasks with group feedback and individual corrections
Grammar
explained clearly and practised in context — not memorised in isolation
Vocabulary
built through real situations and adapted to the group's field or interests
Lesson focus areas
The focus area defines what your group lessons are built around.
Exam preparation
telc, Goethe, fide, TestDaF — targeted strategies for speaking, writing, listening, and comprehension tasks. Ideal for groups with the same exam goal and timeline.
Everyday German
Daily communication — shopping, appointments, conversations, official letters. Useful for groups of expats or newcomers at a similar level.
Professional German
Workplace emails, meetings, presentations, and field-specific vocabulary. Structured around the communication needs your group actually faces.
Conversation training
Focused speaking practice with structured group discussions. A natural fit for groups who want to speak more confidently and spontaneously.
Grammar training
Clear, structured explanations for shared problem areas — at any level. Effective when the group has the same gaps and wants to close them systematically.
Writing-focused lessons
Group writing practice with individual corrections and shared feedback. Useful for exam preparation or professional writing goals.

How Group German lessons work
Lessons follow a clear but flexible structure.
Group formats and booking options
Group lessons at TutorTaxi can be set up in two formats. The right choice depends on the number of participants and how you want to organise the session. We work this out together during the trial lesson.
Format 1
Shared Device (Mini Group)
Two to three participants share one device — one screen, one audio feed, one connection. The group joins as a single unit. This is the simplest and most cost-effective setup.
Couples · Flatmates · Friends in the same location
Format 2
Individual Devices (Standard Group)
Each participant joins the lesson separately from their own device. This is the standard group format for participants in different locations — including remote teams and groups of friends across different cities or countries.
Colleagues · Distributed groups · Different locations
Booking options
OPTION 1
Flexible booking
Book individual group lessons as you need them. Useful if the group's schedules vary or if you want to try the format before committing to a package.
OPTION 2
Structured lesson packages
Purchase a package of 5, 10, or 30 lessons — at a fixed weekly time or flexibly, as the group prefers. Packages include a discount and help the group build a consistent learning routine.
Important: All scheduling decisions for group lessons are handled by one group organiser — the single contact for bookings, cancellations, and any changes to the schedule. The organiser is agreed during the trial session.
Pricing and payment
Group lesson pricing depends on the format and the number of participants. Lessons can be booked individually or as part of a package.
Lesson package discounts
Package discounts apply to group lessons as well. Final package pricing depends on format, duration, and number of participants — and is calculated during the trial lesson.

All group pricing is explained in detail during the trial lesson — before you commit to anything. For a complete overview, visit the pricing page.

About your teacher

Hi, I'm Daniela
I am a German teacher and certified telc examiner with over 16 years of experience. Since 2010, I have worked with students from all over the world — individuals and groups at every level from A1 to C2.
I enjoy working with groups. There is a particular energy in a group lesson that you do not find elsewhere — the questions are different, the discussions take unexpected turns, and people often help each other in ways that make the whole session richer.
My group lessons are structured and goal-oriented. Every session has a clear focus — and the group always knows what it is working on and why.
Speaking is part of the lesson from the very beginning. Mistakes are not a problem — they are useful. In a group, mistakes often lead to the best explanations, because they are usually shared by more than one person.
Grammar plays an important role. I see it as a system of connected rules — like puzzle pieces that form a clear picture when you put them together. In group lessons, this approach works particularly well: one person's question often answers what three others were wondering.
I use modern AI tools to create materials that are adapted to the group's level and focus — so exercises between sessions are relevant, not generic.
Teaching languages
Lessons are available in English, Italian, or German (for more advanced groups).
Frequently asked questions about Group German lessons
Group German lessons are online sessions where two or more learners study together with Daniela. There are two formats: shared-device mini groups and individual-device groups.
In a shared-device mini group, 2–3 learners join from the same device and split the lesson price — a simple option for couples or friends. In an individual-device group, each participant joins from their own device — better for structured courses and learners in different locations.
One person takes on the role of organizer — the single contact for scheduling, cancellations, and communication with Daniela. The organizer is agreed during the trial lesson.
The lesson still takes place. Individual absences do not count as a cancellation and do not affect payment. Only the organizer can cancel or reschedule for the whole group.
Yes. Package discounts apply to group lessons. The right package is worked out during the trial lesson.
Either one organizer pays for everyone, or each participant pays individually. The arrangement is agreed before lessons start.
